The website showed me a picture of a bunch of different colored snakes. They were all positioned in different styles and the pictures were taken from above the snakes.
I learned that you can literally take pictures of anything. Even disgusting animals that most people are scared of.
I picked this picture because I love how the snake is positioned, along with the pattern and colors of the snake it is a very mesmerizing picture.
The photographer used simplicity because it's a simple black background that enhances the picture instead of taking away from it.

Self Portraits
I think a good/powerful picture needs to show something powerful. I chose the top picture has a lot of color which caught my eye and then the motion of it kept my attention. When I first saw the second picture I didn't notice the numbers. I just the last two hands holding each other and I thought it seemed very powerful and then I saw the numbers, which just made the picture even more powerful.
If I were in charge of taking the picture I would want to do it somewhere outside. I've always seen those girls in pretty dresses in the middle of the woods and I've always wanted to try that. Nature is a really beautiful thing and I think with a camera I could really capture that beauty along with the beauty of the person.

Dove Revolution
1. Her neck was made longer and thinner. Here eyes were moved up. Her hair became bigger. Her lips were made bigger. Her skin color was lightened.
2. No, it's a person's appearance. It's how they were made. Who are we to change that?
3. If you were to change a person's body to make them look skinny especially when it comes to women is unethical.
4. The types of changes I think are okay is if their eyes are red or having effects like sepia and so on and so on.
5. Fashion photography usually look for beauty but photojournalism is about beauty and the ugly.
6. Both I think are wrong. Like I said before, it's not okay to alter a person's appearance. Whether it's making their neck longer and giving them teeth. Unfortunately fashion and models have some how been able to defy this thought and create unrecongizable human beings.

Digital Manipulation
A. I learned that photo shop isn't something to be used a lot because it could take away from your picture and possibly cost you your job and credit.
B. I think this type of photo editing is because it at times is used to hid the truth. Instead of allowing the picture to show what really happened photographers are able to alter it however way they want to.
A. I think this photo is unethical because they altered a person's physical appearance. Which I find horrible and demeaning. They took something as small as teeth and made it into a huge deal. If I were the editor I would both be embarrassed and apologetic.
B. I don't find this picture as bad because I believe in my heart that OJ Simpson did kill his wife so he is a a killer and he is an American Tragedy.

National Geographic
2. This is my favorite pictures because it shows nature as its greatest. The two Beluga whales are simply messing around have having fun and I think that is beautiful. Now a days people are too busy to enjoy the little things in life like splashing water and I think this pictures is a reminder.
3. I really like the pictures they had consisting of people and animals. If I had a choice I would go walk around downtown or go the the dog pool at Zilker Park.

Amusement Parks
1. I would want to visit Nara Dreamland in Nara, Japan. I've been to Japan before and I think it would be fun to go back, especially to an amusement park and take pictures. This amusment park stood out to me because of the mountin. It reminds me of the Magic Mountain ride in Florida at Disney World. I had a lot of fun there and I figure I would have even more fun in Japan.

5. What I like about water is that is very freeing. You're able to bend and pose whichever way you want without looking stupid. My favorite part about water is it's flowiness. I like how these models hairs looks messy but at the same time perfect. If I were a photographer assigned to an underwater shoot I would want flowy dresses and girls with long hair just so whe water can really take control and mold the model.
6. Well I would of course need a camera and a model. Finding a pool I don't think would be hard though. I would have to take into consideration merging, rule of thirds, and balance.
