| It warmed my hear to see this picture. In the Asian culture the elderly are respected and it's amazing see that even through disaster these soldiers are willing to carry this man to safety. The photographer was really about to show a patriotic side of Japan. |

| This picture is one of the saddest pictures I would say that I came across while looking at the websites. The thought that must have been going through this man's head while he was trapped between boulders with no way out and his only option was the watch as the water surrounded him and slowly killed him. |

| This picture was really shocking to me. To see a car in the middle of a house truly shows the strength of the tsunami. It was able to pick up a car and smash it through the wall of house it's just wild. |
